BEAUTIFUL ASH

Last year I received several ash trees. I have started working with the first of these and have found it to be beautifully marked. This is Olive Ash, the term refers to to the darker, streaked heartwood found in some Ash trees, which tends to resemble the wood of Olive trees in the Olea genus.
So far I have produced several bowls and hollow forms, some of these can be viewed at the Old Waiting room Gallery on the island of Colonsay
